Where Is The Parking Brake Manual Release On 2007 X5

  1. Open the rear hatch.
  2. Access the tool kit by the spare tire.
  3. Get the orange plastic tool out of the kit.
  4. Pull back the carpeted cover on the left rear side of the compartment.
  5. On the bottom left of the interior, you will find a small metal knob sticking up.
  6. The metal knob will key into the end of the orange plastic tool.
  7. Pull up on the tool and it will release the parking brake.
