Asus U43f-bba7 Processor Upgrade
I have an Asus U43F-BBA7 laptop that I want to upgrade the processor in. It currently has a i5-460m and I want to upgrade it to a i7-640m. They have the same pins and socket. I need to know if the laptop processor is soldered in place or in a socket. also is the i7 i chose compatible with the motherboard?

I am pretty sure the processor is soldered in, if not the motherboard will be incompatible. Laptop processor upgrades are rare and it is better to just get a new on rather than replace it and have new issues emerge due to incompatibility issues
