Asus Cm6870-us-3ab Desktop Pc 3rd Generation Intel Core I7

Hi have a Asus CM6870 computer and it isn't showing the 16 gigs of installed ram either in windows 7 home pro or in the bios only shows 8 gigs yet if I run cpuz it shows the 16 gigs of installed ram. It used to show 16 gigs but sent computer into Asus for repair was not shutting down correct after I got it back I happened to be checking in windows and noticed it now only shows 8 gigs of ram not the 16 gigs and it is a different version bios then what was originally on the computer Could go into bios to set fan speed when I first got it said to set fan cleaning speed but now that isn't avlible either so wonder if this bios needs to be updated to fix the ram not showing proper? version on it now 0408 2,24,2012 think it was 0408 03/26/2012.

Looks like you will have to update the bios to see if that will resolve your issue.

Also try going into the bios and load default settings.

Based on your description, there might be a problem with the Operating System that you are currently using. Some of the files responsible for displayig the information about your system may be corrupted. According to Cnet, Asus CM6870-US-3AB should have a 16Gigaby installed RAM. There is actually no problem about this and you can fix this by reinstalling the Operating System.
