Malfunctioning Alpine Ive-w530
I recently purchased a 2011 Tacoma that had an after market Alpine stereo IVE-W530 installed sometime after 2011. The stereo worked for several weeks . It then would turn on for several seconds beep several times and turn itself off. After driving for half an hour, the stereo would be able to be turned on. This is very frustrating to say the least. This is not a cheap unit. I have had several radio shops, one being an Alpine dealer) look at it and neither could tell me what was wrong with the unit. Any ideas?

- Improper power lead connections: Check power lead connections.
- Check the fuse on the battery lead of the unit; replace with the proper value if necessary.
- Blackout mode is activated: Cancel Blackout mode.
- Take the faceplate off and clean the contacts.
