Upgrading To Business

Hello I have a health condition which makes travelling long distances very difficult, but can i upgrade to business if there are extra seats and not pay anything? Would it help to show a doctor's note? Thank you Charlene

In my 25 years of experience in the travel industry, the only "complimentary" upgrades I've seen are given to the elite/premium status frequent fliers of an airline.

With the options for travelers to use accrued mileage, airline membership status and additional fees for upgrading, there usually is a waiting list for upgraded seats in premium classes.

The last thing I would want to do is give you false hope on your question.   Unless you have frequent flyer status with Air Canada, there is little chance you would be upgraded for free.
