Bios Crash

Acer Aspire 5749 core i3 bios is crashed.power on but no display please help me ?

You bricked a bios update. I did the exact same thing. So now you need to make a "Crisis Disc" to allow you to recover the bios. Download this Bios file: http://www.mediafire.com/?aivdu7en870kn7s Once you have extracted the archive locate this file 'ZQR.fd' Burn this file & only this file to a CD. Switch on the laptop & put the CD into the drive then immediately turn off the latop. Now we are going to repair you bios but first you have to remove the battery from the laptop but leave the power cord attached obviously... Press and hold the 'Esc' key & the 'Fn' key then switch on the laptop. Once the power is on the blue led lights beside the touchpad will light up & then they will flash, after you see them flash you can let go of the 'Fn & Esc' keys. The CD drive should spin up and the laptop will begin to repair the bios. Do not touch anything or interrupt the power supply whilst it's repairing - it may take a while to repair but once it's finished it will restart and hey presto your laptop works again :)

You need to download the bios from acer's website. Once downloaded open the folder. There is a file wlnamed ZQD.fd or zqd.fn you have to hurn that 1 file to CD. Put CD into drive then PRESS &HOLD ESC key and FN key the Power on laptop, once the lights/led's come on & flash you can let go of the keys. The laptop & CD will now repair the bios it can take upto 20 minutes in some cases. I forgot to kention the battery needs to be removed before you power on & repair, leaving the power cable plugged in... Next time a new bios update is available DON'T update it yourself unless you know what it does or you will have this same problem again
