Take a picture of your serial number!!!

I have had this washer for 18 months. It washed great. Holds fairly large loads which is wonderful for a large family like I have. It uses less water and soap and is energy efficient. Everything I was looking for. HOWEVER, in November I noticed it was getting a little louder when it was in the spin cycle. I didn't think much or it. It wasn't too bad and I thought it was normal. I do laundry about two or three times a week a few loads at a time. By January the noise was pretty noticeable and I called Lowes to see if I could get someone to come out and look at it. I had purchased a 5 year extended warranty and the repair man was out within a few days. He walked in and looked at the machine then said it needed a new drum. Both drums were shot - I didn't even know it had two drums. HOWEVER they put the serial number on the inside of the washing machine door and its a sticker. A STICKER! That washes off! And Whirlpool won't approve a repair and pay the service man without the serial number! So I spend nearly $1000 on a washer and extended warranty for a machine that isn't working and they wont fix!
