DWL-8600AP Install Guide 5 To power the access point, you can use one of the following methods: 1. Connect the access point to that switch or router. Connect one end of your computer. 2. To setup and manage the DWL-8600AP from a computer, use a computer from a computer that is also connected to a switch or router and use one port on a PoE switch. Connect a straight through Ethernet cable between the access point and your Ethernet cable into the LAN (PoE) port on the DWL-8600AP and the other end into one of the following methods: 1. Use the supplied power adapter 2.
