Set the keyboard aside. 2. Locate the keyboard cable connector. (Figure 8) 4. iBook G4 Keyboard - 5 Important: Pull straight up the connector from side to pry up , do not twist or pull the cable sideways. Note: If needed, use your fingers to side. Figure 8 5. Make sure that the shield sits uniformly flat. 5. Figure 9 iBook G4 Keyboard - 6 Installing the Replacement Keyboard 1. Tighten the RAM shield screws. Firmly insert the keyboard cable connector into its connector cable. 2. Insert the RAM shield. (Figure 9) 4. Lay the replacement keyboard in the correct orientation over the keyboard opening, then flip it toward you and lay it face down on the palm rest to expose its connector on the shield and computer align and that the screw holes on the computer. 3.
