Htr-3063 Volume Control Issue Through Remote Control

My HTR-3063 has developed a problem from my latest move cross country. Increasing the volume through the remote control works fine, but lowering the volume and mute functions through the remote control no longer work. Volume control via the main unit control knob works fine. Any ideas?
