Why Does My 3d Tv Does Not Switch To 3d Viewing While Trying To Play A 3d Movie?

I'm putting a 3D blu ray disc into the player and a pop-up window says that it doesn't detect 3D firmware, so it wont play the movie. I've already tried 3 movies.

You did not mention how the TV is connected.

The quickstart manual (http://www.helpowl.com/manuals/vizio-e3d470vx-e3d470vxnbspquick-start-guide-1fb9ed7.pdf) states that 3D is only usable when connected with a HDMI cable.

If you have anything other than an HDMI connection to the TV you will not get any 3D contect.

You also need to assure that the DVD /Blueray player is 3D capable. I cannot verify that since you did not leave the model of the player you use.
