Carryon Baggage Question

Im wondering since the policy  states that you can have 1 carry on bag and one personal item. I will be taking a standard carryon suitcase with my on board and I was wondering if I would be allowed a small backpack as well. It is smaller then a stardard sized jansport , a little over half the size of what a standard jansport back pack would be.

Yes, the backpack should be fine, assuming you can fit it below the seat in front of you.
