You can find details on U.S Airways baggage policies here. I found this interesting:
You can pay for your 1st and 2nd checked bags when you check in online and save. There is a $5 service fee for checked bags at the airport. You can check in beginning 24 hours and up to 60 minutes before your departure. Also, all bag fees are per person and each way.
