it could be a stuck button on the keyboard or the remote (press them all to see if they can be freed up), sometimes the buttons fail, and finally there is a possibility that the "main" board has failed components (very rare situation). To see if the remote is the failure you can look at it with the camera on your cell phone to see if the output diode is lighting up.
