I Cant Get A Picture Or Sound

my tv comes on, the guide comes up & i can scroll thru the channels but i cannot get a picture or sound.i put in a dvd & can see that. im thinking my remote got pushed & i dont now how to fix it. other tvs in the house are woking fine so i know the cable is good.
