Can't Listen To Music Through Bluetooth Device

My bluetooth device links and works fine until I try to listen to music I have downloaded on my phone. Once I press 'Play via Bluetooth stereo headset', it says 'No Bluetooth device found' yet it is linked up and like I said, works fine otherwise.
