How Do I Get My Sony Handy Cam To Communicate With My Macbook Pro?

I have a HDR_XR260V. According to the manual I need to use appropriate software on my mac. How do I get the software and what is it? Can I download it from this site? Thank you Shelly

Based on my research, the available driver software for your Sony HDR-CX210 can be downloaded from the support website of Sony. Unfortunately, there is no available driver software for Mac OS/MacBook Pro. This message has been returned -

"There are no files available to download for the selected operating system."
