Amd-k800d Subwoofer Issues

I have a Sony AMD-K800 system but my subwoofer isn't putting anything out and I am hoping not to have to replace the entire thing. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi there. Two things might be causing that problem.

1. sound chip.
2. the woofer itself.

Connect another speaker into the woofer panel, if the the speaker produces sound it means the woofer is dead and if it doesnt, the sound chip is dead.
