Error C01 On Singer 8500q

any ideas on what the error could be. cleared the bobbin area of lint. if I press the needle down button it also displays the error. press start get the error.

either the bobbin winder isn't in the proper position or the sensor has moved or malfunctioned and it looks like the sensor has detected the wrong position of the bobbin winder.
