How Do I Scan A File To An External Hard Drive?

Hello, you can't scan directly to an external hard drive. You could scan to a USB drive, then copy the file from that USB drive to the hard drive using your computer. Or you could scan from the Sharp to your computer or your email, and then transfer the file that way. But you can't connect an external hard drive directly, like you can with a USB thumb drive, because it uses a different type of file system that won't be recognized.
