Sharp Cv10nh Cycles On And Off

i Have a sharp CV10NH portable A/C and it comes on runs fine for a few minutes then the compressor turns off, the fan keeps running. After a while it comes back on and does the same. it doesn't stay on long enough to coll the room. I drained the water (about 1/2 gallon) but it still does the same
