I Have A Maxtor Stm307504ota3e1-rk 750gb External Hd And W/ Out Warning Or Any S
I have a Maxtor STM307504OTA3E1-RK 750GB external HD and w/ out warning or any sign of drive failure eg. Drive noise/clicking my power supply has failed. I would leave the drive powered up for extended peroids but not aware of this causing sudden failure. What might be the cause of a seemingly new and undamaged HD to suddenly lose all signs of life from it's external power source, it's almost similiar to when an electronic device has a fuse short but I'm not aware of any fuse in this product and if there is one it is not accesible w/ out physically opening the device which I will do if someone can tell me what it is I'm looking for or the most likely culprit of this issue. Any Ideas greatly appreciated... thx Jry
