Change Hard Drives
i have a desk dell desk top pc running a saegate baracuda ata 1v drive which is 40 gb model st30016a and ive just bough a seagate baracuda 7200.10`drive 160 gb which i bought to do a srtaigh swop but the power plug leads are different on the 160gb to the 40 gb is there any way posible to get these changed so i can use the 160gb drive

From the information given I have guessed you have attempted to replace an 3.5" IDE drive with a 2.5" IDE and they are not interchangeable. The other option is to obtain an adapter for your usb port which would give you the extra storage and retain your original drive. These are available form auction sites etc. This is a common link to the item.
