Phone Will Not Charge

just got it a few days ago and it will not charge with supplied charger though I have used USB and it did charge with that( a galaxy USB) any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks a lot!

Please check the battery of your Samsung SGH-T249 mobile device. The battery may not be working properly that is why it cannot accept an electrical charge from the adapter.
