T.v. Power Switch
I've had my television for just over 2 years. Recently, when we turn on the Power button (from remote), the 'click' sound when the power turns on, goes off repetitively as if it is turning on/off. This happens at a very fast rate and then, over time, gradually slows down. It is progressively getting worse. This is now spanning over hours and t.v. not going on at all.

you need the power supply repaired. this is a symptom of some filter capacitors going bad. these parts are generic and replacement parts are available at Radio Shack and such.
The capacitors look like cylinders with a flat top on the power board (where the AC power cord hooks to). The bad ones will have the top puffed up slightly. The values are printed on the side and are probably 1000 microfarad at 10VDC, replace them with same value at a higher voltage rating as long as it will fit it the same area on the board. you can replace them yourself or take the parts and the board to a shop and they can install them for about $25.
