Blinking Green Light, No Picture , No Sound, Finally Goes Into Stand-by Mode
My Samsung HLT5676SX/XAA rather related to this problem I have started to take a few minutes to respond to changing channels. Then after a couple of weeks would sound like it was turning on but wouldn't. I thought no problem I would change the bulb which I did, no help. I went deeper and changed the color wheel, which the wires were burnt and brittle, I thought that had to be the problem, which it turns out wasn't. Now I'm stuck, what do I attempt next.
The light comes on, so I assume everything that has to be working up to that point is working. Any help or advice would be appreciated, even if it throw it away and go get another.

continuous blinking green light indicates that the capacitors have failed on the DM pwb. You need the V26 DLP DM repair kit which is available at the following link under their repair category. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/

if the color wheel is bad then the ballast circuit will not get the signal to start up the lamp. Of course you must tape the lamp door interlock switch so it will turn on with the back cover removed.
there is a couple things that will stop the picture and sound from coming out of mute mode after the set is started up. The most likely one is the DMD board in the optical engine (clad in the metal sheild with the fan pointed at it and controlling the DLP chip): BP96-01848B. new board: http://www.encompassparts.com/item/7880188/Samsung/BP96-01848B/Assy_Pcb_P-dmd. The next two are the digital/main board (http://www.encompassparts.com/item/7519210/Samsung/BP94-02309A/Assy_Pcb_Main) and the LVDS cable (http://www.encompassparts.com/item/7630999/Samsung/BP39-00253A/Cbf_Signal) that connects it to the DMD board.
