How Do I Know If Need Color Wheel Screen Is Red

I highly doubt you have a color wheel problem. the reason is the lamp will not light to show you a picture if the color wheel is stopped (on the red segment) or not rotating at the correct speed. When they go bad it will sound like a bad fan, since the bearings start to seize.
If you press the [menu] button and the colors of that on-screen-display are right then the color wheel is working and the problem might be the input signal or the video section in the TV.
