Can't Scan To Folder On Ricoh Aficio Mp C5000

Hi, if you've never set up scanning to a folder, you will first need to create and share a folder on your computer. The procedure for doing that depends on what type of operating system you are using (Windows XP, Windows Server 2012, Mac OS X 10.8, etc.). Basically you will need to create a folder to scan to, and then share it and give at least one user account permission to read and write to that folder.

If you've already set up scan to folder and it was working before but now it's not, here are some possible reasons why it might have stopped working:

- The folder you want to scan to isn't shared
- The user account you are using to authenticate does not have rights to access that folder (or a parent folder)
- There is a network connection problem somewhere between the copier and the computer
- There is a hardware or software preventing the copier from reaching that folder (ie. a firewall, anti-virus program, security suite, router, etc.)
- The copier and the computer are not in the same workgroup
- The password to that folder has changed
