How To Add Staples To The Ricoh Aficio 5000

Hi, the steps to add staples vary depending on what type of finisher you have installed and whether you are referring to saddle stitch or corner staples, but in general this is the procedure for adding staples for your MP 5000:
- Open the finisher front side door
- Remove the staple cartridge by the green handle
- Push in on the two sides to pop the top of the cartridge up
- Remove the empty white paper container
- Install the new staples in the direction of the arrow
- Push down on the top of the cartridge so it snaps into place
- Pull out the strip of tape around the staples
- Reinstall the cartridge into the finisher, so it snaps into place
- Close the finisher door

(You may need to pull out the internal finisher tray to access the stapler)
Open the finisher door
Pull out the Staple Unit
(Gently pull out the stapler cartridge)
Holding both sides of the cartridge, pull up the upper unit (sides with arrows) and remove the empty case
Push the new refill into the cartridge until it clicks.
