If you get the authentication error when trying to scan to email, it's often because the password is incorrect. It may have been typed incorrectly, or it may have been changed recently and just needs to be updated in the copier's settings.
If you've double checked the password and that's not the problem, then it's another authentication issue, such as incorrect username/email address, or authentication may be disabled, or authentication may be enabled but the email server doesn't require it.
