I Have A Kitchen Tv Lcd/dvd Combo.

The plastic keeps coming off and the screws to hold it fell out. it is not a year old yet and I love watching this in the kitchen for my morning news.

Kitchens typically have large heat variations, lots of moisture, and atomized grease and oil in the air.

Heat changes will cause all sorts of issues, screws back out, plastic rots. The grease and oil just add to the issue.

This unit wasn't really designed to be around all that moisture and such. What you're seeing is likely just a natural aging affect accelerated by the heat and moisture. This is only a guess. Also the plastic used in these units isn't the greatest. Built in obsolescence and all.

Do what you can to keep it clean and dry. Expect to be servicing it eventually.

I just ordered this assembly by calling RCA parts support at 1-800-433-7316. It was $25.00 + $5.00 for shipping and handling. They do not know part number 3915-05/06. They sell the entire "Swivel mount" assembly.
