How Do You Make The Dvd Work

just bought an RCA LCD TV DVD COMBINATION 32"...Took first one back because I thought something was wrong with DVD because it will not take the disc. just got back with 2nd. and it is doing same thing. I am putting the disc in reflective side out as that is what instructions say, having to force DVD in...not working? Is there something I am not doing right? I have even unlocked the parental control, unplugged tv for 10 minutes and then plugged in and still not working???????

According to the user manual (http://www.helpowl.com/manuals/RCA/L32HD35D/54967) it would appear you're doing it right. Insert disk with label showing to the front.

The disk should be grabbed and drawn into the player. Make sure to test it with a factory DVD, not one you made.

If it stil isnt working take it back. Have them test the new one in the store before you leave with it. Have them test the old one too with you there.
