Blood Withdrawal Procedure

How the blood was withdrawn was different - been going to same lab/doctor for years. The technique was uncomfortable, took much longer to withdraw, and left arm is still aching a day later. The tech kept having to shake and move the vial for it to fill with blood. The position of the vial was away from my arm - not in usual spot to withdraw blood. Is this a new procedure?

The best (maybe the only) way to find out is to ask the local Quest facility you used. It's possible the central Quest office could answer, and if not it could provide the phone number of your local facility. You can reach the central office at 866-697-8378.
