Is meant to work with passive speakers so will probably not send audio out on the HDMI output. If you just want to use it as a disc player you would need and adapter like this one:

that would convert the front L-R speaker level output to a line level input that you can connect to the soundbar. You would connect all your sources with HDMI to the TV (including the DVD-receiver) and use theoptical out of the TV for all the other sources. Set the DVD receiver to stereo mode.
