Why Do My Subs Only Work When The Balance Is All The Way To The Right

I have the pioneer gm 5500t and it only plays when when the balance is to the right and when I try to turn it to the middle or left the blue light blinks slowly. I've tried everything all of my connections are tight the positive of the amp and negative are are secured to the positive of my sub and negative. Any answers or suggestions
