Majic Jack Making Computer Freeze Up

Shut down Magic Jack and pull it out of the USB port. OK -- Let's start with what else is running.

Look at the lower right bottom of your screen at the system tray and kill anything you can live without. Then hit "crrl-alt-del" to bring up the task manager. This will show you more programs -- only shut down the ones you recognize as non critical aps (Weather Bug, or Roboform, etc). Once you are lean and mean, plug in your Magic Jack and make a couple of calls.

If the program hangs, pull out Magic Jack, find the software and uninstall it.

Optimize your hard drive

Install the magic Jack, which will trigger a reinstallation of the Magic Jack user interface.

Try calling again and see if that helps.
