Sorry for your problems. The previous answer may or not solve your issue, but one or more of the following definitely should.

First try these instructions. You can also reset the device, as explained here. Or consider "Running MagicJack as System" as outlined here.

If however the device is defective, you may be able to return it. If you bought it from magicJack, the instructions are at http://my.magicjack.com/returns.html

Try powercycling the unit, modem/router & see if it will reset the connection.
