My Mdr535h No Longer Records Any Audio. Precious Recordings Play Back Ok From Ha

My MDR535H no longer records audio to the hard drive. However when playing back previous recordings the audio is ok. There is audio present to the recorder RCA connectors because i can hear it ok on a small hand held audio amp that I have for test purposes. One day it was working fine, the next day it was not. Without a schematic I have no idea which IC is responsible for inbound audio?Thank you
