X544 Scanning - Windows 7 (32-bit)
Haven't had much luck when trying to use the scanner on my x544.
I downloaded the 'Lexmark_X543_X544_X546_ACB_Admin' EXE from Lexmark (after attempting software/driver install from the included CD).
After extracting and installing (choosing all options in the setup program - including all three versions of the x544 driver), the print function works. Scanning won't work properly though.
I did get it to 'Scan to Application' --> Acrobat Reader to work one single time, but now all it will do is 'Search' then show 'Remote Scan in Progress' and go back to the 'Scan to Application' menu selection.
I've uninstalled/reinstalled the software and drivers numerous times now and nothing resolves the situation.
PC is Windows 7 32-bit and the scanner/printer is hooked up through USB. I've verified that the port being used is changed to USB (though it defaults to LPT1).
Any assistance will be appreciated.
