Communication issues are usually caused by a driver problem or a security software blocking the printer. Try to uninstall the Lexmark driver and download an updated driver online. Just go to http://bit.ly/Xm4tcY.

Also, if your printer is connected to your network, try to check if you have the lastest firmware for your printer.
