Lg L55c Will Not Receive Text From At&t Or Verizon Cell

I purchased a reconditioned LG L55c. I am able to text and receive text from cells with other carriers, but not AT&T or Verizon that my kids have. I have spoken with 2 Straight Talk techs, neither helped. I have updated the profile and completed a factory reset. How do I fix this?
