Lg50pq30 Will Not Work With Remote But Can Be Turned On Manually.

there is a possibility that the IR receiver in the TV has failed,

when the TV is on does any of the buttons on the remote work? If so then the [power] button could be bad and a new remote is needed or this one repaired. You an test the remote operation by pointing it at the camera on your cell phone. When you pres buttons the IR LED will glow on your camera viewfinder. Also if you have some new high efficient light bulbs in the area (some neon lights too) they can flood the IR receiver on the TV and the TV will not see the remote signals.
