Audio Issues

I purchased my LG 32LS3400 on Labor Day of 2012. All was great. In Feb of 2013, I went away for 6 months for work. When I came back, I noticed that the sound started crackling and popping. It got worse and now, the popping will take out the picture and leaves the TV completely unresponsive. I have to unplug it in order to turn it back on. I am using Monster HDMI cables and have tried both input ports. I thought it was my BluRay player, so when I had cable installed, he used a component cable. The issue still happens even with the HDMI cable unplugged. HELP! This TV has been used for less that 6 months with no issues. I'm out of warranty and can't afford a big repair or new TV.
