Where Is Clean Mode To Descale?

how do I turn on Clean Mode to descale?

Descaling the Coffee Maker
  • 4

    Remove the water filter by opening the water tank on the top of the coffee  maker and pulling the filter cartridge out of the water  tank.

  • 5

    Fill the carafe with a mixture of equal parts water and vinegar.  Alternatively, fill the carafe with descaling solution.  Pour the contents of the carafe into the water tank.

  • 6

    Press the "Mode" button six times if you have a glass carafe or five times if  you have a thermal carafe to enter "Clean" mode.

  • 7

    Press the "Program/Set" button to bring up the "Clean" indicator and then  press the "+" button until "On" is displayed.

  • 8

    Press and hold the "Program/Set" button to save the "Clean" setting. Hold the  button until a beep is heard.

  • 9

    Press the "Brew" button to initiate the "Clean" cycle and allow it to run.  When complete, the "Clean" indicator will turn off.

  • 10

    Run two cycles of clean water through the coffee maker to rinse the coffee  maker.

  • 11

    Wash the brew basket in your sink using hot, soapy water, or place the brew  basket in your dishwasher to clean.
