Standby Then Powers Off
Unit has been refitted, security code is off. Unit powers up to standby, if turned on to tuner the radio station appears with no sound for a few seconds then powers down, unit then has to have the power soruce removed before starting again? In standby other options are avalible? Thank

this is a common problem that many receivers can develop. You have already done the steps to eliminate the most obvious so that leaves the unfortunate reality that there is a failure on one of the amplifier channels causing the unit to go into protect mode. I wish I could tell you better news but unless you have the service manual, electronic test equipment, solder and de-solder equipment, and the knowledge to troubleshoot the amplifier stages, you will have to have it serviced by a shop.
