Just before the washer goes into the spin cycle, you will hear the pump cycling on. It will spin in slow speed and then stop while the pump continues to pump water out of the tub. This will continue until the most of the water has been removed. Then the spin speed will ramp up to remove the remaining water out of the clothes ( spin dry).
