I Have The Jvc Kd-sr40 Radio. Brand New, Never Heard A Sound Out The Radio. Chec

I have never heard a sound out the speakers since this has been in. Speakers worked with factory radio. I've checked all the connections and even the speakers and there hooked . I have the iPhone 5c. Seen on the manual there is a iPod mode? What do I need to do

You need to verify you have the correct connection cable to your speakers. The speakers do not use the cars body for return so if that is how they were connected previously they require 2 wires to each speaker. In the user nmanual on page 17 there are specific installation instructions which when carried out correctly should result in success. If however the radio is completely inoperative then I suggest contacting the retailer for replacement. The guide can be downloaded here:
