Tv Remote Does Not Turn Off The Tv Or Change The Volume. Batteries Are New.

Hi. The sensor (one from the TV or from the remote) may have failed.

You can try to reset the remote by removing the batteries. With the batteries out, hold the pwr button down on the remote for 15 secs and release the button and reinstall the batteries to see if that solves the problem. If not you either have to get a new remote or take the TV in for service.
