My Receiver Hang And Do Not Operate
I have a sudden problem on my Humax IR-FREE receiver , when I switch it ON , it hangs with a message (Initialising system...) and freeze on this ... it do not open.What is the problem ...

Depending on the age of the receiver it could be a power supply issue. It is a commonly known problem. This requires soldering skills to replace the capacitors in the power supply. These kits are available from the internet. The sets are supplied with instructions but you do need to be able to solder. If not, some companies offer a repair service. Google search or E-bay.

INITIAL ACTION TAKEN: Power off Humax receiver and remove the cable at the back of your receiver connected to the dish. Turn it on again and wait till booting is done ( front panel displays channel number ). Lastly, reconnect the cable to the IF input of your receiver. Good luck..
FINAL ACTION TAKEN: If the same problem exist after few days,LNB ( Low Noise Block Converter ) must be replaced and make sure that the connector cable connected to the LNB is free from corrosion that caused damaged on electronic circuit inside the LNB.
