The factory reset requires that you use the TV's remote. To reset all programmed codes to factory default place the remote control in TV mode, and then press and hold the TV mode button, and enter "9", "8", "1" in sequence. If you don't have the TV's remote, you'll probably have to obtain one. (A universal remote likely won't do the job.)
